The “Restaurant Indicator” is a GPS-based mobile application which helps people to find the closest restaurants based on the user’s current position and other specification like price, restaurant type, dish and more. The application should be free to download from either a mobile phone application store or similar services. Restaurant owners can provide their restaurant information using the web-portal. This information will act as the bases for the search results displayed to the user. An administrator also uses the web-portal in order to administer the system and keep the information accurate. The administrator can, for instance, verify restaurant owners and manage user information. Furthermore, the software needs both Internet and GPS connection to fetch and display results. All system information is maintained in a database, which is located on a web-server. The software also interacts with the GPS-Navigator software which is required to be an already installed application on the user’s mobile phone. By using the GPS-Navigator, users can view desired restaurants on a map and be navigated to them. The application also has the capability of representing both summary and detailed information about the restaurants.
The Government of Punjab, Pakistan is looking for a system to acquire and track training and testing sessions for Government of Punjab (GoP) employees. Such a system will be Web based and available to managers, administrators, as well as the employees. Different user groups are identified and the system will implement different policies, access rights and securities per group. The system will support a bidding process for training/testing offers and will have the ability to track employees’ training/testing nomination, registration, and results. The system will accept course feedback from the trainees. Relevant reports and views are to be generated also as part of this system. A successful solution will automate (to an extent) the process of acquiring training and testing. It will provide vision to management about the training that the GoP employees need to complete. More efficient use of the training should be realized with such a system.
Problem Statement The agricultural sector in Punjab lacks a standardized, transparent, and accessible financial accounting system. Small to medium-scale farmers, land managers, and agricultural cooperatives operate without structured bookkeeping, leaving them unable to track cost of production, evaluate profitability, access formal credit, or qualify for targeted government subsidies. This financial opacity limits agricultural productivity, leaves farmers vulnerable to exploitation by informal lenders, and hinders government agencies from implementing data-driven policy interventions."
COMSATS University Inventory System (CUIS) The web based inventory system, named CAMSATS University Inventory System (CUIS), is unified for the use of all the faculties, students, and staff of the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). The system will request the users, CUI’s faculties, students and staff, to log in to use the system. After authentication, the system will allow the user to view the inventory of the CUI, which is categorized as, Persons, Locations, Assets, and Licenses. The system will allow the user to add, edit, and delete the items in the database (DB). The system will also allow the user to request for one or more of the existing inventory or report on any such inventory. The system will restrict the users from accessing all the above mentioned features depending on the user’s level of permissions. The level of permission is a default package, which is not assigned by the system. However, the system will accept change in the user’s level or modifications made to the permissions in the present level of any user. The system will accept data from the files of previous inventory system and the new data added by the user one after the other or by bulk operation.
